This week, viewers of will most likely be upset to hear that one of their beloved shows will temporarily be removed from the programming lineup. The change comes as ITV prepares to broadcast live coverage of the Grand National Festival, a prestigious horse racing event taking place at Aintree.

As a result, viewers can expect significant disruptions to the typical broadcasting schedule on both Thursday and Friday. The network's decision means that Loose Women fans will have to wait to enjoy the panel show until after the races conclude for the week, with the show returning to its usual slot next Monday.

And Loose Women isn't the only show being distrupted by the racing. This Morning will also undergo a scheduling change, extending its runtime by an additional 30 minutes. Hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard will remain on air until 1 p.m., rather than concluding the programme at the usual time of 12:30pm. Following This Morning, viewers can catch the ITV Lunchtime News at 1pm, which will be succeeded by a regional news update airing at 1.20pm.

It's not the first time Loose Women's slot, which typically broadcasts from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, on weekdays, has been thrown into turmoil in recent weeks. It was also unexpectedly cancelled back on March 26. Ruth Langsford, the show's anchor, shared this news to viewers during the wrap-up of the episode on March 25. Instead of the usual discussion and interviews, the channel opted to air The Chancellor's Statement.

Ruth said: "We've got to go, unfortunately! We'd love to stay for the afternoon... We're not here tomorrow either because of the spring statement. I'm sure you're all looking forward to that!" The popular daytime talk also did not broadcast new episodes between March 11 and March 14. This break came shortly after an emotional episode that celebrated Coleen Nolan's 60th birthday, filled with heartfelt moments and surprises for the beloved panellist.

Kaye Adams, 62, stated: "We're off for the rest of the week sadly, but we will be back next Wednesday." In their absence, ITV opted to air special coverage of the Cheltenham Festival from 12.45PM to 5PM from Tuesday through the remainder of the week. Following this, viewers were treated to the usual lineup of programming, which included the popular quiz show The Chase and the latest headlines from ITV News.
