The projected Ganga Link Expressway has been cleared by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), which has given the Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPIDA) no objections to its development. Because of YEIDA’s initiatives, the intended project’s alignment has altered. Additionally, an industrial corridor will be constructed beside the Bulandshahr highway. Soon, UPIDA will start purchasing land for the project.
It was suggested that YEIDA construct the motorway.
From Meerut to Prayagraj, the Uttar Pradesh government is constructing a 594-kilometer, six-lane motorway. At first, the UPIDA suggested using YEIDA to link this motorway to Noida International Airport. YIDA’s development project would have been affected by the link expressway’s initial routing, which also went through property designated for the airport’s MRO (aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul) Center. The authority thus asked for a different alignment.
The recently authorized link expressway route would begin at the Ganga Expressway’s 44-kilometer mark and terminate at the Yamuna Expressway’s 24.8-kilometer mark. Through Sector 21 (Film City) and Industrial Sector 28, the highway will link to the 120-meter road and Yamuna highway.
In addition to helping travelers to Noida International Airport, the planned project would make commuting easier for YEIDA’s residential and commercial allottees. The villages between Bulandshahr and Prayagraj will be traversed by the 74.3-kilometer-long and 120-meter-wide connecting highway.
The western Uttar Pradesh districts would have direct access to the Noida airport via the connecting highway. Logistics will also benefit from the connection highway. The Ganga Link Expressway’s route has been decided, and UPIDA has received no objections to its development in the YEIDA region, according to YEIDA CEO Arunvir Singh.
Additionally, an industrial corridor will be built.
In the Bulandshahr district, 7111 hectares of land have been purchased in order to construct an industrial corridor beside the link highway. Plots will be assigned for the establishment of industrial units when the land has been acquired. It is anticipated that this project would draw investments to the region and provide job opportunities for the local populace.
