Yashasvi Jaiswal, a rising star in India, mentioned his unique bond with franchise captain and fellow countryman Sanju Samson and said he considers it a “privilege” to work with Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid. Jaiswal had a conversation with Jio Hotstar.

Following his outstanding efforts in the Under-19 World Cup, Jaiswal was signed by the Royals in 2020 and has been with the team ever since. Together with Samson, the young southpaw has created a potent opening duo that has made the opposition’s bowling unit shudder.

The 23-year-old opener believes that he and Jaiswal can continue to enjoy their connection as they have in past Indian Premier League seasons, despite the fact that they have not yet put up an impressive show.

“I’ve been with him since I was a child, and we’ve known one other for a while. We love spending time together, and playing with him is always enjoyable. I really value our friendship. It’s wonderful to be around him because of his manner and the way he communicates. We’re excited for this season, of course, and I think we’ll have as much fun this year,” Jaiswal said on JioHotstar.

Jaiswal reconnected with former India coach Dravid during the current season. Following India’s historic victory in the T20 World Cup in Barbados last year, the previous head coach stepped down. Jaiswal earned his first Test and Twenty20 International caps for the Indian side during Dravid’s tenure.

Jaiswal, who loves Dravid for his behavior, is eager to collaborate with him once again. He is prepared to take in all that is offered and to value the opportunity to be near and learn from him.

He is supportive, considerate, and always watching out for everyone, which makes him an incredible leader in my opinion. He gives players confidence by telling them they are in the right place and giving them the proper advice, which is important for their individual careers as well as the team’s overall success.

He is a remarkable human being as well. It’s a luxury to have someone like Rahul Dravid Sir in this day and age, and getting to know him up close offers a chance to learn about both cricket and his demeanor off the field,” he remarked.

“There is so much to learn from him since he has remained so composed and graceful throughout the years. He said, “I am genuinely thrilled to be here with him and am looking forward to spending this TATA IPL season with him.”
