There are many actors who rose to fame after doing just 2-3 movies. However as much as fame is needed for a star to remain a star maintaining stardom is very important too. However today we will discuss this one actor who though became a star met a tragic end. Not only that people still wonder where he is.
In a very short time this actor left a long-lasting impact on the audience and made them his fans despite having a struggling life. If you are wondering who the actor is then he is Raj Kiran.
Raj Kiran started his Bollywood journey in 1975 with the film Kaagaz Ki Nao which marked his debut. Two years later he featured in Kissa Kursi Ka. However it was his film Karz in 1980 which brought him all the fame. The movie also featured Rishi Kapoor Subhash Ghai Tina Ambani Simi Garewal and more.
Over the years Raj featured in movies like Ek Naya Rishta Beshaaram Arth Raj Tilak Justice Chaudhary and Maan-Abhimaan. Not just films Raj Kiran also featured in TV shows such as Reporter Aakhir Kaun and Aahat.
During the 70s and 80s Raj started working at full pace. He featured in 100 movies. During this the actor tied the knot. His entire family prefers to stay away from the limelight.
Though Kiran received huge fame and name over the years his stardom started to go down. He was being typecast in films didnt receive good movie offers and so on. In an interview Kiran said that if he did not receive good film offers then he would quit films.
Due to his receding fame Kiran went into depression and then went missing. The news spread like wildfire. Later in 2011 news broke that Raj Kiran had been admitted to a mental asylum in Atlanta. Kiran has been missing for 30 years and he went missing from New York. However all of these were reports and no solid confirmations are out in public.
Raj Kirans daughter Rishika Mehtani finally came forward to open up on the matter and said that all the news circulating were fake.
