Suzuki has officially unveiled the GSX-8R Kiiro Edition, an exclusive, limited-edition motorcycle for the UK market. With just 60 units available, this special variant is packed with unique visual upgrades and premium add-ons, making it a head-turner in Suzuki’s middleweight sportbike lineup.

Suzuki GSX-8R Kiiro Edition: What’s New?

The Kiiro Edition, named after the Japanese word for “yellow,” lives up to its moniker with a vibrant yellow and black color scheme. Enhancing its exclusivity, Suzuki has equipped the bike with:

  • Grey wheels and matching subframe

  • 8R black logos on the bodywork

  • Tinted windscreen

  • Gilles billet aluminum levers

  • Tank pad and single-seat cowl

These changes set it apart visually from the standard GSX-8R, adding a custom feel to this factory-built sportbike.

Mechanical & Performance Specs: No Changes Under the Hood

Mechanically, the Kiiro Edition retains the 776cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with a 270-degree crank, producing:

  • 81.8 bhp @ 8,500 rpm

  • 78 Nm torque @ 6,800 rpm

It’s paired with a six-speed gearbox and features an assist and slipper clutch for smoother downshifts.

Hardware & Tech Features
  • Showa SFF-BP forks and linked rear monoshock

  • 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tires

  • Dual 310 mm front discs and 240 mm rear disc brakes

  • Dual-channel ABS, traction control, riding modes

  • Easy start system and low RPM assist

The GSX-8R has a 14-liter fuel tank and weighs 205 kg, maintaining a balance between aggressive sport styling and practical everyday usability.

Will India Get the Kiiro Edition?

Unfortunately, the GSX-8R Kiiro Edition is exclusive to the UK. Suzuki has no plans to launch this version in the Indian market. However, the standard GSX-8R is already available in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹9.25 lakh.

Competitors in the Segment

In India and global markets, the GSX-8R competes against:

  • Kawasaki Ninja 650

  • Honda CBR650R

  • Aprilia RS660

  • Triumph Daytona 660

Each of these bikes offers varying levels of performance and tech, but the GSX-8R stands out with its aggressive design and well-rounded feature list.
