In Chithi Narsingh village of Sadar assembly constituency of Basti district, the case of the demolition of the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar was caught on Thursday. The villagers started picketing to demand the feeding of chaotic elements.

As soon as the matter was known, SP MLA Mahendra Nath Yadav of Basti Sadar also reached the spot and sat on a dharna with the villagers. Till the arrest of the accused is not done, the strike will not end.

Eventually the administration had to come on the backfoot. The administration assured to install the second statue of Baba Saheb, then the strike ended. The MLA himself promised to have a boundary of the park recorded in the records in the name of Baba Saheb. SP MLA said that insult to Baba Saheb will not be tolerated at any cost. Ambedkar is going to black potty somewhere on the idols, so the administration is being broken, the eyes are sleeping to me instead of taking action.
