The highly anticipated ollywood movie Kesari 2 has been the victim of piracy, mere hours after its box office release. The movie starring Akshay Kumar in a leading role promised to leave its mark at the box office with its heart-tugging narrative and strong performances. But its surprise leak on the internet has given the filmmakers and cast sleepless nights.

In Kesari 2, Akshay Kumar plays the character of Advocate C. Sankaran Nair, a pivotal historical figure in the legal fight after the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The event, which took place on April 13, 1919, resulted in hundreds of innocent Indians being killed and created outrage throughout the country. The movie goes into the courtroom drama that ensued in its wake, emphasizing the unrelenting legal fight against British colonialism.

Sharing the screen space with Akshay Kumar in the film are R. Madhavan, as Advocate Nevill McKinlay, and Ananya Panday, as Delret Gill. The star cast, along with the historical setting, had created a lot of excitement before the film was released.

Before the film was even out on the screens, Kesari 2 was being appreciated for its profound storyline and impactful dialogues. The audience was keen to see how the movie would make a turning point in India’s struggle for freedom come alive. Akshay Kumar had requested fans before the screening, asking them to dive into the experience. He had asked the viewers to put away their phones and listen carefully to the dialogues, hinting that every line contained an important message.

Regrettably, the filmmakers were caught off guard by its quick spread on pirated sites shortly after its release. The leak hasn’t just hurt the film’s potential at the box office, but has also disrespected the months of hard work put into the production by the cast, crew, and production team. Piracy remains a chronic threat to the film industry, depriving creators of the chance to enjoy their work as it was meant to be—on the big screen with complete effect.

The leak has again sparked debates regarding the requirement of more robust anti-piracy legislation and technological measures to avoid such breaches. Filmmakers, artists, and viewers have all voiced disappointment, reiterating that piracy not only leads to monetary losses but also insults the creative value of film.

In spite of this defeat, the message of the film and its emotional impact still echo through the hearts of viewers. Initial reviews indicate that the people who had watched the movie legally in cinemas were touched by its depiction of historical reality and by the bravery of individuals who struggled for justice.

The cast of Kesari 2 now encourages the fans to watch the film through legal means and to prevent the dissemination of pirated versions. They hope that the strong story will still find and touch viewers’ hearts, as planned.
