Bihar Weather Update: In order to relieve the intense heat, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday that light rain is expected to fall in a number of Bihar districts in the coming days. The meteorological service said that starting on April 22, temperatures would climb significantly across a large area of the state. The temperature is expected to rise even though these regions have recently had thunderstorms and mild to heavy rain.
The meteorological bureau gave specifics, saying that Monday would bring gloomy skies to a number of districts in the Northeastern area of Bihar, including Kishanganj, Purnia, Araria, Katihar, Supaul, and Madhepura.
It said that there would likely be some light rain for the people living in these regions, which will be a huge reprieve from the intense heat. The meteorological service did clarify, however, that the reprieve is not expected to continue much longer since the temperature is expected to rise throughout the next week.
The temperature in the other regions of Bihar is expected to rise, according to the Patna regional meteorological center. The report predicted that in a number of districts, including Patna, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, and Gopalganj, the temperature will rise by four to six degrees Celsius. It said that during the next four days, the state’s highest temperature is probably going to stay in the range of 36 to 40 degrees Celsius.
According to the meteorological service, a heat wave-like condition is expected to begin on April 24 in a number of southern districts, including Gaya, Aurangabad, Patna, Nalanda, Buxar, Rohtas, Kaimur, Jehanabad, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Munger, Jamui, and Arwal.
It also advised the locals to restrict their excursions, stating that the maximum temperature in these regions is probably going to stay around 40 degrees Celsius. In addition, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka are under a rain warning issued by the IMD.
