The State Department of Public Policy and the Takshasila IAS Academy at Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) here held a two-day national conference on “Electoral Reforms and Democratic Accountability”, which was funded by the UGC and ended on Sunday.
A major event in public policy education, the seminar, which was created as part of the ground-breaking BA+MA Public Policy curriculum, offered students aspiring to civil services in-depth insights.
Speaking to the audience, Senior IPS officer K Chakravarthy underlined that Takshasila IAS Academy’s BA+MA Public Policy programme, which is being provided in partnership with ANU, is an exceptional chance for students who want to be ready for the civil service immediately from intermediate school.
VN Vishnu, a former principal secretary, emphasised the significance of public accountability as well as the changing democratic problems.
Registrar Dr G Simhachalam, Arts & Law College Principal Prof. M Suresh Kumar, Public Policy Department Head Prof. Battu Nagaraju, Managing Director BSN Durga Prasad, and ANU Vice-Chancellor in charge Dr Kancherla Gangadhar Rao presided over the farewell session.
Additionally present were faculty members Curie, Chandrika, Ratna Kishore, and Prasad.
