If anyone understands how to showcase traditional beauty with a contemporary twist, it’s Durefishan Saleem.

In her recent Instagram post, Durefishan made heads turn in a gorgeous maroon lehenga by celebrated designer Zara Shahjahan. The outfit had elaborate golden and green embroidery designs, which made for a beautiful blend of heritage and modern-day elegance.

The lehenga was paired with a golden, tailored blouse studded with sequins and large traditional patterns which really enhanced the presence of Durefishan. The whole getup was topped by a dupatta in the same hue with beautiful gota work and emerald-green tassels at the borders, exuding a fairy-tale, retro kind of impression.

Her makeup, done by celebrity makeup artist Usman, consisted of a soft, radiant base, pink cheeks, brown eyeshadow, and a perfect winged eyeliner. A light rose-pink lipstick and naturally shaped brows completed her effortlessly bridal look.

Created by Mehak Saeed, the entire appearance borrowed bridal tradition and gave it a minimalist, trendy spin. The loose styling, large waves created by Durefishan’s hair and a lack of burdensome accessories maintained focus on her lovely outfit as well as on her overall aura.

In the popular video, Durefishan appears dressed in a distinct retro way, with her styling, her expressions, and the whole ambiance reminding one of a vintage, old movie. She applied a camera filter that provided the clip with an old film look.
