Kailash mansarovar yatra: Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, which used to have a special occasion for pilgrims every year, is resumed this year after a gap of five years. The yatra was stopped since 2020 due to Kovid-19 epidemic, but now the yatra is being held again with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. This journey will start from 30 June 2025 and it is a very good news for pilgrims.
The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra passes through the Lipulekh Pass located in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, which is at an altitude of 17,000 feet above sea level. This journey goes to the Kailash Mountains and Mansarovar Lake located in Tibet, which is considered highly sacred in Hinduism. This mountain is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva, and revolving around it and bathing in Mansarovar lake gives salvation.
The first batch of the yatra will leave from Delhi on 30 June, which will have five groups. Every group will have 50-50 devotees, that is, a total of 250 passengers will be part of this journey. The first party of the yatra will enter China on July 10 from Lipulekh Pass, and the last batch will return to India from China on 22 August.
During the journey, pilgrims will stay at many major sites. These places are – Tanakpur (Champawat district), Dharchula (Pithoragarh), Gunji and Nabhidang. After Kailash Darshan, passengers will return from China and stay in Bundi, Chakori and Almora in Pithoragarh district, and then return to Delhi. The entire journey time will be 22 days.
Health check -up of all the devotees on the journey will be done in Delhi and Gunji. This will ensure that all the passengers involved in the journey are physically capable and do not face any kind of problem during the journey.
