New Delhi [India]: During Monday’s Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Titans (GT) spinner Sai Kishore discussed the Eden Gardens surface.

He said that the surface improved in the second innings and was enough grippy to buy wickets.

He also spoke about his strategy against Andre Russell, a hitter for the KKR. “The wicket had sufficient purchase. There was more buy when we bowled in the second inning. That was an excellent total to defend on such a track. (Plan against Russell) I just attempted to alter the angle slightly to get a different deviation. In the post-match presentation, Sai Kishore said, “The situation was to attack, so I wanted to go slowly through the air and get the top-edge.”

According to Kishore, the squad has faith in GT spinner Rashid Khan, who is regarded as one of the world’s top T20 bowlers.

Additionally, he emphasised the team’s emphasis on playing quality cricket and honing skills like fielding.

Regarding Rashid, he is among the world’s top T20 bowlers. His ability to take wickets is returning. I have no idea what it’s like in the commentary box, but as a team, we don’t question his skills. I still think he’s the world’s top T20 bowler, and we all believe in him. Instead than discussing the outcomes, the focus has been on playing excellent cricket. We did a great job fielding today. He said, “We are simply focussing on areas where we can perform better as a team.

Against a reliable Gujarat Titans (GT), who defeated the reigning champions by 39 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Monday, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) once again failed to live up to the expectations, thus ruining their championship defence.

GT scored 198/3 after being allowed to bat first, due to some explosive finishing from Jos Buttler (41*), Sai Sudharsan (52) and captain Shubman Gill (90), who both had outstanding half-centuries. With the exception of their captain Ajinkya Rahane (50), KKR was unable to mount much of a resistance in response, as they were limited to 159/8 by outstanding performances from Rashid Khan (2/25) and Prasidh Krishna (2/25).

With three victories and five losses, KKR has dropped to seventh place, while GT continues to hold the top position with six victories and two defeats, or 12 points.
