Despite his best efforts, teh game got off to a cracking start with Julia successfully going through to the final round with an impressive £8,000.

Next up to the podium was Oz, who successfully added a further £5,000 to the prize pot after a nail-biting head-to-head round. Hoping to fillowing in their footsteos was A Place In The Sun host Laura, but before she endured the cash-builder round, the former Coronation Street star revealed their surprising connection, reports .

Bradley divulged: "Laura, welcome to the show. I've got to tell everyone; I've known Laura since she was about that big," gesturing with his hand low to indicate how young she was when they first met.

"Laura came and worked with me about 15 or 16 years ago in Milton Keynes in the theatre." Bringing back memories, he fondly recalled: "You played Cinderella, we had such a laugh."

It was at this point that Laura took a cheeky jab at him, joking: "We did. But it took 72 shows for you to make me laugh," eliciting amusement from the gathered crowd.

Laura struggled to keep up with her brainy teammates, only raking in £3,000 in the cashbuilder round, but that wasn't enough to stop her from going for the big cash prize.

Risking it all, Laura went head-to-head with Paul for £75,000, but sadly the property expert stumbled at the last hurdle and was caught within three questions.

Despite this setback, final player Mr Motivator won an impressive £4,000 in the cash-builder round which he added to the joint jackpot, bringing the team's total to £17,000.

Renowned for his stints in pantomime, Bradley is no stranger to treading the boards. Interestingly, this isn't the first time his panto past has crossed paths with his role as host of The Chase.

Previously, a contestant named Natalie graced The Chase and let slip that she had shared the stage with Bradley in a pantomime back in 1995.

As she geared up for her chance at the cash builder round, Natalie opened up about her interests: "I like musical theatre, and things like that," she disclosed to Bradley.

Curious, Bradley probed further, inquiring: "Did you go to a musical theatre school as well?" The contestant reminisced: "No I used to perform a little bit when I was younger - I was actually in a pantomime with yourself back in 1995, when I was eight."

Subsequently, Natalie disclosed that the panto they shared was Goldilocks and the Three Bears staged in St Albans, eliciting from the host: "Oh yes, well it's nice to see you again. Look at you."
