Djordje Petrovic (25), after a difficult and brief spell as Chelsea No.1 last season, has got his career back on track at partner club RC Strasbourg Alsace. The Serbian has played a starring role in leading a charge for the European places, which could yet lead to a UEFA Champions League qualification.
Publicly, Petrovic has not ruled out remaining at Strasbourg, especially in the event of qualification for the Champions League, however, should he return to Chelsea, as is expected, there could be further movement between Alsatians and Chelsea. Filip Jörgensen (23), who has failed to displace Robert Sanchez at Stamford Bridge, may make a loan move to the Ligue 1 club, The team understands.
Alternatively, it could be youngster Mike Penders (19) who makes the move to the Meinau in the event of Petrovic’s probable departure. Any move would, however, be complicated should both clubs qualify for the same European competition with trading between the clubs prohibited by UEFA regulations.
