Three Arrested in Berhampur for Stabbing Contractor: What Led to the Attack?

Berhampur: On Monday, local authorities apprehended three individuals in connection with the stabbing of a 46-year-old contractor, according to police reports.


The arrests took place in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Saravana Vivek M.


The victim, identified as Sonu, also known as Dheeraj Mohan Choudhury, hails from Gosaninuagaon. He was reportedly attacked near Ramalingam Park on Sunday evening. Following the incident, the suspects fled to Andhra Pradesh to avoid capture.


The Superintendent of Police noted that the motive behind the attack appears to be longstanding animosity among the individuals involved. However, investigations are ongoing to clarify the precise reasons for the stabbing.


Authorities have recovered the weapons used in the assault, along with the blood-stained clothing of both the victim and the suspects.


Currently, the injured contractor is receiving medical care at MKCG Medical College and Hospital, where his condition is reported to be stable.
