Jaipur. In an exciting match of the Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL), Rajasthan Royals lost to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), now the controversy has started. The defeat of Rajasthan Royals has been accused of match fixing. Jaideep Bihani, the convenor of the Adhoc Committee of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), says that there has been some mess in this match.

Talking about the match, Rajasthan got a target of 181 runs, and in the last over he needed only 9 runs to win, that too when he had 6 wickets left. But Lucknow bowler Avesh Khan bowled amazing and Rajasthan lost by two runs. Only after this defeat, questions have been raised on the Rajasthan team.

Jaideep Bihani has suspected this defeat. He raised the question of how the team lost on his own home ground. In an interview, he reminded that earlier in 2013 some players from Rajasthan were caught in spot fixing, and the history of the team has been a bit disputed.

He also alleged that the owner of the franchise Raj Kundra has also been caught in the first betting case, and due to this the team had to bear the ban for two years. This time too, he has demanded from the BCCI that the matter should be investigated. Franchise owner Raj Kundra when caught in betting Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as well as Rajasthan teams were banned for two sessions in 2016 and 2017.

Apart from this, Jaideep Bihani alleges that the Rajasthan Cricket Association was kept away from the host of the IPL without any concrete reason. He said that the Sports Council and Rajasthan Royals made an excuse by saying that the association has no agreement with Sawai Mansingh Stadium. But the question is that even if there was no agreement, are the Sports Council not getting the money for every match?

Rajasthan's condition worsened in IPL 2025
However, this is not the first time that Rajasthan faced defeat in the last over, even before he could not score 9 runs against Delhi Capitals and lost in the match super over. So far, Rajasthan has won only 2 out of 8 matches and the points are at number eight in the table. His next match will be held with RCB on 24 April.
