Hanif said that even before Amitabh ventured into acting when he was in Kolkata working for a company he met a girl named Maya. Zaveri further revealed that Maya was not an actor but an air hostess associated with British Airways. After meeting Maya Bachchan fell deeply for her and they started dating. However their relationship soon started facing rough patches when Amitabh moved to Mumbai in search of becoming an actor. Zaveri in his conversation said that during his early days in Mumbai Bachchan was living in a bungalow owned by a close friend of his mother Teji Bachchan. Big B was always afraid that what if his mother came to know about his affair. Hence he decided to look for new accommodation. During that time Amitabh was working on Mehmood Ali’s brother Anwar Ali’s film Saat Hindustani. When Amitabh shared his problems with Anwar the actor gave him a space to live. On the surface of it it seemed that the problems between Maya and Bachchan were resolved. However they once again started facing problems when Amitabh realised that he is a shy man whereas Maya was one of the boldest people he had met so far.
