The State Health Society (SHS) of the Government of Bihar has issued a notification for recruitment to a total of 4500 posts of Community Health Officer (CHO) under the National Health Mission (NHM). Under this recruitment process, eligible candidates will be appointed in various Health and Wellness Centers of the state.
Applications will start from May 5
The online application process for this recruitment will start from May 5, 2025 and the last date has been fixed as May 26, 2025. Interested candidates will be able to fill the application form by visiting the official website of SHS Bihar. Applications will be accepted only through online mode.

Essential educational qualification
Candidates applying for CHO posts must have B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with Community Health (CCH) Certificate. Or the candidate must have completed GNM course and have CCH certificate.
Age limit
According to the notification, the minimum age of the candidate should be 21 years and maximum age should be 42 years. Reserved categories will be given relaxation in age limit as per rules.
This much application fee will have to be paid
Candidates applying for this recruitment will have to pay the application fee. The fee for General / EWS / BC / EBC category has been kept at Rs 500. Whereas for SC / ST / PWBD / Women candidates, the fee is only Rs 250.
