The establishment of Uttar Pradesh’s first electronics manufacturing cluster in Greater Noida has received clearance from the national government. Within the Yamuna Motorway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) territory will be this 206-acre cluster.
This project will get an investment of Rs 800 crore from Havells India Limited. According to Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary of the Department of Infrastructure and Industrial Development, the state government is working to establish Uttar Pradesh as a centre for the production of electronics.
The national government has now approved the state government’s proposal to build a cluster in Noida. The cluster will establish itself as a technical powerhouse for electronics production by producing computers, smartphones, and other electronic goods.
At a cost of Rs 539 crore, the cluster would be established in YEIDA’s Sector 10 and will be funded by Rs 393.90 crore from YEIDA and Rs 144.48 crore from the national government. The project is expected to be finished in three years, with construction set to start on July 1.
Along with manufacturers, the cluster will also include business centres, skill development centres, meeting spaces, and hostels, offering workers lodging and training opportunities.
The cluster will create consumer, automotive, medical, telecom, and hardware electronics technologies. Along with a conference centre, 176 ready-to-use flats with RCC roofs will be built to enable enterprises to start operations right away.
