According to Khaosod EnglishChuangsri was officially crowned and sashed as Thailand’s delegate to Miss World 2025 during a press conference titled “New World New Chapter, Road to Miss World 2025,” held Tuesday at the Channel 7HD building in Bangkok. The Miss World 2025 finals are scheduled for May 31 in Hyderabad, India.

Shortly after the announcement, the Miss Universe Organization issued a statement revoking Chuangsri’s third runner-up title, citing a breach of contract.

“This decision underscores our expectation that all winners fulfill their duties throughout their entire reign,” the organization stated.

The announcement reiterated that beginning May 1, 2025, stricter regulations will be imposed on national directors to prevent similar breaches.

“Our primary mission is to inspire and empower through the Miss Universe brand, providing opportunities for the personal and professional growth of all involved,” the statement concluded.

In response to the Miss Universe Organization’s decision, Chuangsri said she respects it, acknowledging the organization surely has its reasons. She maintained that she no longer has any contractual obligations and has already embarked on a new journey.

The beauty queen added that the titles of Miss Universe Thailand and Miss Universe third runner-up will always hold a place in her heart.

This marks the first time a Miss Universe runner-up has been stripped of their title, according to Piyaporn Sankosik, Executive Chairman of TPN Global—the current organizer of Miss Thailand and former licensee of Miss Universe Thailand before the rights were acquired by Nawat Itsaragrisil’s Miss Grand International.

Chuangsri, 22, won Miss Universe Thailand 2024 before competing at Miss Universe 2024.
