Milan reaching the Coppa Italia Final also means they automatically qualify for the Supercoppa Italiana, so Saudi Arabia are more likely to want to host the tournament.

The new Final Four format was introduced this season, so there are semi-finals between the winners and runners-up of the Serie A title and Coppa Italia, before the two go head-to-head for the trophy.

Sergio Conceicao’s side came back from 2-0 down to beat Inter 3-2 in the Supercoppa Italiana Final back in January 2025, a fixture that was hosted in Riyadh.

While Saudi Arabia has the rights to host another two editions of the Supercoppa Italiana Final Four, it had been reported the organisers were reticent about the idea of putting this on in 2026.

They were concerned at the international draw of the teams participating, which we now know will be Inter, Napoli, the Rossoneri and either Bologna or Empoli.

According to MilanPress.it, the fact that the Diavolo qualified makes it more likely that Saudi Arabia will be eager to host the tournament.
