Obnews Tech Desk: Reliance Jio has once again proved its dominance in the Indian telecom sector. The February 2025 figures released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) confirm that while Jio and Airtel are getting new subscribers, the position of Vodafone Idea (VI) and BSNL is constantly deteriorating.
According to TRAI's February 2025 data, Reliance Jio has connected 17.60 million new wireless users to its network. This figure is much higher than 6.86 lakh users connected in January, which shows that Jio's grip is constantly getting stronger. Digital infrastructure, better network and 5G services, have users confidence in the company.
Airtel added 15.90 million new subscribers in February, while in January the number was 16.50 lakhs. That is, there has been a slight decline in the growth rate of the company, but still it remains strong in the market. Users' trend over Airtel's 5G services and customer service still remains good.
VI's condition is continuously deteriorating. In February, the company lost 20,720 subscribers, while in January the figure was 13.38 lakhs. Users' confidence is being broken due to network weakness and non -availability of 5G.
