Bodh Gaya: Buddhist monks honored the victims of the Pahalgam terror incident on Friday at the Mahabodhi Mahavira temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Monks and others maintained quiet and lighted candles in remembrance of the 26 victims slain in the assault as a sign of sympathy and togetherness throughout the world.
A peace demonstration was previously held by Tripura institution, a major institution in Suryamaninagar, Agartala, to denounce the assault on visitors in Pahalgam.
Along with hundreds of employees and students, the demonstration was attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ganga Prasad Prasain, senior academics, and the deans of the faculties of science, commerce, and the arts. The university community came together to pay tribute to the deceased and offer their sincere condolences to the families who had lost a loved one.
Professor Prasain led a quiet homage and prayed for everlasting peace for the victims as the peace rally came to an end at the university’s open theater. In his speech, he denounced the horrible deed and emphasized the value of harmony, peace, and solidarity in the face of catastrophes like this.
In the meanwhile, Syed Adil Hussain Shah, who died attempting to save tourists after the Pahalgam terrorist assault, was honored by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
In order to safeguard the visitors, Shah tried to seize the terrorists’ pistol, according to Shinde, who also praised Shah’s valiant actions.
“This has nothing to do with religion or caste. The terrorists were randomly firing at the tourists, so this individual attempted to rescue them. He even attempted to seize the terrorists’ pistol to protect the tourists from the bullets. But he was slain by another terrorist,” Shinde stated.

Since Shah was the only provider, Shinde said that he had evaluated Shah’s family’s challenging financial status after speaking with them. The Shiv Sena would provide the family Rs 5 lakh in cash assistance as support.
Terrorists targeted visitors in the Pahalgam incident on Tuesday at Baisaran Meadow, killing 25 Indians and one Nepali while injuring several others. Since the 2019 Pulwama strike, which killed 40 CRPF jawans, it was one of the bloodiest strikes to hit the area.
