Delhi Airport issued a warning on the social media platform X, saying, "According to the India Meteorological Department, easterly winds will blow between 26 April and 4 May 2025. Due to these winds, some flights may be affected during this period.

The airport further wrote, "We are working closely with airlines and Air Traffic Control (ATC) to minimize the impact on flights, please contact the concerned airlines for the latest information about your flight. Your safety is our biggest priority, and we are trying our best to make your journey safe and comfortable in collaboration with all stakeholders." Increasing number of air travelers
Let us tell you that the number of passengers traveling by air is increasing continuously. According to a report by credit rating agency ICRA, the number of domestic air passengers for FY 2024-25 stood at 1,657.1 lahks, an increase of 7.8 percent year-on-year and 17.1 percent more than the pre-Covid level of 1,415.6 lakh in FY 2019-20. In the 11 months of FY 2024-25, the number of international passengers stood at 309.5 lakh, an increase of 14.6 per cent year-on-year, which is 41.9 per cent more than the pre-Covid level of 218.1 lakh.
