According to Wisden, fast bowler Adam Milne was ruled out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 due to a knee injury, which was a significant blow for the Karachi Kings in New Delhi, India.
The injury was sustained by Adam Milne during the Kings’ second game of the season against the Lahore Qalandars.
The recuperation process for Adam Milne, who played in two games during PSL 10, was still going on. Nevertheless, it was determined that he would not be able to continue playing in the season after consulting with the medical staff.
Last year, he was one of many well-known New Zealand players, like as Lockie Ferguson and Kane Williamson, to turn down a central contract. Since then, he has participated in franchise leagues all around the globe, most notably the ILT20 earlier this year with Sharjah Warriorz.
Saad Baig, the captain of the Pakistan Under-19 squad, has been selected as Milne’s interim successor. Williamson, who had missed the Kings’ first five games owing in part to his IPL 2025 commentary duties, was partially replaced by the young player. He has now scored 29 runs in the Kings’ first two games of the season.
Baig, a left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper, is regarded as one of Pakistan’s top emerging players. He guided the U19 squad to the World Cup semifinals last year, when they were beaten by Australia by a slim margin of one wicket.
Despite having a poor batting performance (92 runs at 18.4, strike-rate 69.17), he tied Sarfaraz Ahmed’s 2006 record for a Pakistani wicketkeeper in a Youth ODI World Cup with 15 dismissals (14 catches, one stumping).
Mohammad Irfan Khan, Aamir Jamal, Arafat Minhas, Tim Seifert, Zahid Mahmood, Mir Hamza, Fawad Ali, Riazullah, Omair Bin Yousuf, Kane Williamson, Mohammad Nabi, Saad Baig, Ben McDermott, Hasan Ali, Khushdil Shah, Shan Masood, and David Warner (captain) comprise the Karachi Kings squad.
