Drew Barrymore, a Hollywood celebrity from Los Angeles, offered the key to “aging gracefully” and said that she had no plans to get cosmetic surgery.
The actress, who just celebrated her 50th birthday, was asked to share her secret to “aging gracefully” in a behind-the-scenes interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
“I haven’t done anything and I want to try and stay that way—but I’m also like, do whatever works for you,” the actress retorted. The only thing I am aware of is that people do things differently, so don’t judge them.
“Each of us is on our own journey, and we must help one another. Sometimes I’m like, ‘Oh Wow, we’re there now,’ and other times I see a bunch of turkey neck.
According to femalefirst.co.uk, Barrymore then gave her admirers some insightful life advise.
“I want to remind myself not to be so cruel to myself,” she remarked. How often do we ever get the opportunity to glimpse our own mirror, and the person staring back at us is really ourselves?
“Therefore, our mental and spiritual game, which impacts the face, will benefit from us being kinder, more patient, more resilient, loving, embracing, and less dismissive.”
Barrymore continued, saying: “A smile is better than any lipstick you can buy, and internal dialogue that isn’t so critical of ourselves and quick to spot a flaw—by the way, that might be someone else’s favorite thing about you… how ironic.” It’s how you feel, not how you seem.
The actress said earlier this year that she was “so excited” to reach her fiftieth birthday.
‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ actress also said she’s happiest than she’s ever been.
“It can’t come soon enough,” she said in the February/March 2025 edition of AARP The Magazine. Like Frodo from “The Lord of the Rings,” I’m ecstatic when I glimpse that brass ring! I’ve never been happier in my life, and I don’t have any problems with getting older.”
