On 23 April 2025, the company completed its two decades, and has brought new and advanced features for users on this special occasion. This upgrade of YouTube will not only make the platform user-friendly, but the experience of watching video will also be more personal and fun.
According to reports, YouTube is making a big change in its video player's interface. Features like Play/Pose, Skip, Video Chapter and Timstamp in the new user interface (UI) will now appear in pill-shred capsule design. Many users have also shared its experience on Reddit and said that this interface looks easier and attractive than before.
YouTube has also included the voice comment feature, which was first tested with a few select creators. Under this new feature, users will now be able to comment in their voice, which will give a new dimension to both expression and communication.
The company has launched the Ask Music feature for YouTube Music and YouTube Premium users. With this help, users will be able to prepare a personalized radio station on the theme of their choice like workout track, relaxing jazz etc. through AI. Along with this, 4X playback speed option has also been added, so that users will be able to consume content faster.

Currently all these features are available for some users, but the company has indicated that they will be globally rolled out in the coming time. YouTube believes that these updates will take the user experience to a new height.
