Referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea, 39, who will officiate the Copa del Rey final on Saturday, April 26, has cried in a press conference ahead of the big clash, due to accusations made against him by on the club's official TV channel.

Furthermore, the Galacticos mentioned that the referee hasn't been a part of the UEFA Champions League or FIFA tournaments throughout his career, wanting to portray how he doesn't quite have the credentials to officiate the game of the magnitude of Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Real Madrid pull out of open training session and press conference ahead of Copa del Rey final
The video posted on Real Madrid TV also led to the video assistant referee (VAR) for the Copa del Rey final, whose name is Pablo Gonzalez Fuertes, speaking out against the club. Real Madrid didn't take kindly to the press conference from the referee, refusing to take part in the pre-match activities, including the open training session and press conference, but they also ended up denying the rumours about pulling out of the Copa del Rey final.
The Spanish football federation (RFEF) addressed the matter in a statement, which read, 'Real Madrid told the RFEF they will not take part in the press conference or the official training session looking forward to the [final].'
