Former Barcelona and Spain national defender Gerard Pique, 38, and his girlfriend Clara Chia, 26, have reportedly broken up after three years together.
According to Marca, the split may have been triggered by a third person. It remains unclear whether this is to recent photos of Pique getting cozy with a red-haired woman in Miami.
Pique often travels between Barcelona and Miami, where his two sons live with his ex-partner, Colombian pop star Shakira. His frequent traveling between the two cities reportedly caused tension in his relationship with Chia, who works for a Spanish sports and entertainment company.

The former Barcelona star went public with Chia in 2022, shortly after his breakup with Shakira.
Spanish media reported that Shakira discovered Pique’s affair with Chia after noticing someone had eaten her jar of strawberry jam, a food she claimed only she liked in her family. Feeling betrayed, Shakira allegedly kicked Pique out of their home. She later referenced Pique as “the one who must not be named,” a nod to the villain Voldemort from the book series “Harry Potter,” in one of her songs.
Pique played for Barcelona from 2008 until his retirement in 2022, helping the club secure 30 titles, including three Champions League and nine La Liga titles. He was also a key figure for Spain, winning the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
Pique and Shakira met during the filming for the music video of “Waka Waka”, the official song of the 2010 World Cup. They lived together in Barcelona for 11 years and have two sons, Milan and Sasha.
