After serving as an assistant coach of the Indian team for eight months, Abhishek Nayar has been roped in by Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals for the impending T20 Mumbai League 2025. He has been appointed as the mentor of the side. Meanwhile, ARCS Andheri has acquired the services of ex-India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey.
Both former India cricketers have enormous knowledge and experience of coaching in international as well as domestic arenas. They will look to guide budding talents and enable them to hone their skills during the eight-team tournament, which is scheduled to run from May 26 to June 8.
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) on Saturday, April 26, announced a star-studded lineup of head coaches and mentors for the highly anticipated third season of the T20 Mumbai League 2025. Notably, the tournament is returning after a gap of six years. The matches will be played at the historic Wankhede Stadium.
The coaching roster includes some of Mumbai’s most esteemed names. Omkar Salvi (SoBo Mumbai Falcons), Rajesh Pawar (ARCS Andheri), Atul Ranade (Triumph Knights Mumbai North East), Amit Dani (Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals), Prashant Shetty (Eagle Thane Strikers), Pravin Tambe (North Mumbai Panthers), and Vinod Raghvan (Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs) have been assigned as head coaches of their respective teams. Meanwhile, Namo Bandra Blasters' head coach will be announced shortly.

In the forthcoming season, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube, Sarfaraz Khan, Tushar Deshpande, and Prithvi Shaw will be icon players, who will be allotted to each team based on a draw of lots.
