Gemini advanced free for students: Technology giant Google has introduced a big gift for college students. Now students studying in America will be able to use Google's most powerful AI platform Gemini Advanced for free. However, this facility has been provided only to American students.

Google has announced this offer quietly through its official channels. Under this, qualified students will get free access to Gemini Advanced, Whisk, Notebooklm Plus and 2TB Cloud Storage, which will be valid till 30 June 2026. Students can sign up before 30 June 2025 to avail this offer.

Gemini Advanced will get great help in studies

Gemini Advanced is not just a chatbot, but it is a state -of -the -art AI tool based on Google's most powerful Gemini 2.5 Pro model. Students with its help:

• Hundreds of sources can immediately summarize.
• By uploading PDF files, you can get Contextual Explanation by highlighting any part of it.
• You can use AI directly in Google tools like Sheets, Gmail, Docs etc.
• You can improve studies and presentation by preparing videos and podcasts.
• Idea brainstorming and presentation can practice in real-time from Gemini Live feature.

With 2TB storage, students will also be able to save their notes, projects and assignments easily.

Is this offer available in India too?

Currently, this free facility is not available to students outside India or America. According to Google's rules, students to take advantage of this offer:

• Should be 18 years of age or older.
• An American College/University with a .EDU domain should have a valid email address.
• It is mandatory to live in America.
• Enrollment verification is necessary.
• Personal gmail account must be (institutional workspace account will not be valid).

Indian students, even if they are doing online courses from international universities, will not be eligible for this free offer unless they fulfill America based qualification criteria.

Gemini Advanced option in India

Indian students can avail the facilities of Gemini Advanced by taking ₹ 1,950 per month membership under Google One Ai Premium Plan. This subscription provides the same features as American offers.

Although this initiative of Google has benefited American students, but crores of students have been excluded from it globally. Given the increasing technology and innovation in India, it can be expected that Google can also offer such offers for Indian students in future. Till then, interested Indian students will have to choose the option of paid plan.
