Pahalgam Terror Attack: On April 22, about 28 people lost their lives in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The incident is being condemned in India as well as abroad. Everyone is condemning this painful incident from entertainment world to cricket world. In such a situation, former captain of the Indian cricket team and former BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has also said a big thing about Pakistan.
Amidst the ongoing protest in the country over this incident, Sourav Ganguly has demanded to break all cricket relations with Pakistan. He said in front of the media that we cannot tolerate terrorism at any cost. He has said to end all the relations with Pakistan i.e. cricket, whatever relationship is there soon.
In fact, when reporters in Kolkata questioned Sourav Ganguly on the Pahalgam attack, he said against it, “India should completely break all cricket relations with Pakistan. It is no joke that such incidents happen every year. Terrorism cannot be tolerated at all. It is necessary to take strict action on this.” I should not play with Pakistan either.
In view of this incident, the Government of India has also taken many big steps. India has reached the formal information of suspending the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 to Pakistan. Also, the integrated check post (ICP) in the attic has been closed. Not only this, the government has suspended the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (Sves) for Pakistani citizens.
