In an interview with Lehren Retro the veteran actress opened up about an incident when she was pregnant and shooting for her film during which the lead actor asked her whether this was Vinod Mehras child! The actor we are talking about is late actor Rajesh Khanna. Moushumi and Rajesh were shooting for a film called Prem Bandhan. During the shoot Rajesh had been extremely disrespectful to the actress. Back then Moushumi had married Jayant and was expecting her first child. While she was shooting Khanna asked whether the child was Vinod Mehras. This agitated Chatterjee to her core and she also gave him a hard-hitting response. She said in the interview “Yes I gave him back. I asked him ‘Is it Rishi Kapoor’s child or yours?” Moushumi said this as she referred to Rajesh and Dimple’s children. This left Rajesh Khanna speechless and how! Moushumi has been one of those fearless actresses who never shied away from calling out wrong things. There was a time when Chatterjee even scolded Dharmendras son Sunny Deol on a movie set.  At a time when the stereotype existed that pregnancy marked the end of an actress career Moushumi continued shooting even while she was pregnant.
