In some major good news for the investors of Tata Groups Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)-- Indias largest IT services firm-- the companys market cap rose by an impressive Rs 53692.42 crore to Rs 1247281.40 crore as the combined market valuation of six of countrys top-10 most valued domestic firms soared by Rs 118626.24 crore last week with TCS emerging as the biggest winner.
According to market data Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd HDFC Bank Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) State Bank of India Narayana Murthys Infosys and ITC were the winners while Sunil Mittal-led Bharti Airtel ICICI Bank Bajaj Finance and Hindustan Unilever were the biggest laggards last week.
TCS biggest gainer as 6 of top-10 emerge winners
TCS was the biggest gainer adding Rs 53692.42 crore to its market cap which soared to Rs 1247281.40 crore. Mukesh Ambanis Reliance Industries added Rs 34507.55 crore taking its valuation to Rs 1759276.14 crore while the market valuation of Infosys jumped Rs 24919.58 crore to Rs 614766.06 crore and that of HDFC Bank rallied by Rs 2907.85 crore to Rs 1461842.17 crore.
The market capitalisation (mcap) of State Bank of India (SBI) went up by Rs 1472.57 crore to Rs 712854.03 crore while the mcap of ITC climbed Rs 1126.27 crore to Rs 535792.04 crore.
Among the laggards the market cap of Bharti Airtel tumbled by Rs 41967.5 crore to Rs 1035274.24 crore while Hindustan Unilever fell Rs 10114.99 crore to Rs 547830.70 crore. The market valuation of Bajaj Finance slipped Rs 1863.83 crore to Rs 566197.30 crore and that of ICICI Bank by Rs 1130.07 crore to Rs 1000818.79 crore as per market data.
Meanwhile Mukesh Amban-led Reliance Industries retained its coveted title of Indias most-valued domestic firm followed HDFC Bank TCS Bharti Airtel ICICI Bank State Bank of India Infosys Bajaj Finance Hindustan Unilever and ITC
The BSE benchmark went up by 659.33 points or 0.83 percent last week while NSE Nifty went up by 187.7 points or 0.78 percent according to data.
