In a lovely reminder that it’s never too late to follow your dreams, a 62-year-old woman from Chandigarh has become an inspiration to many. Just two months ago, she opened her own street food stall, serving popular treats like dahi bhalla, golgappa, aloo tikki, and chole bhature.
Recently, a food vlogger visited her stall and recorded a video as she prepared a plate of dahi puri for a customer. When the vlogger asked her about her menu, she smiled warmly and proudly listed all the dishes she serves.
Talking about her journey, she said, “Before this, I used to be a housewife. I was always passionate about food, so I thought I should just do this. Why should I focus on my age? You can take up any hobby at any age.” She also shared, “I have been cooking food for the past 50 years.”
The viral video, posted with the caption “62-Year-Old Lady Selling Chaat And Golgappe,” has already gained nearly 3 lakh views on Instagram.
Viewers quickly filled the comment section with love and respect. One user wrote, “Massive respect for aunty ji, may God bless her.” Another said, “Wow, by the way, those chutneys look really good.”
One user simply commented, “Wowwww amazing,” while another added, “Aunty ji has a sweet and divine aura.” Another heartwarming message read, “Wow aunty ji… congratulations on the new start-up… see you,” along with lots of red heart and clapping emojis from many others.
Earlier this year, another inspiring story touched hearts online. In January, a video of a 108-year-old man selling vegetables on the streets of Moga, Punjab, went viral. Despite his age, the elderly vendor continued working with great energy, selling onions and potatoes while smiling warmly at customers.
The video was shared by an Instagram user named Mani, who praised the man’s spirit and described him as an "incredible soul." Mani also said his life was a "testament to resilience, hard work, and the power of staying grounded."
The 108-year-old’s joyful attitude and dedication to his work left a deep impact on viewers, showing that with resilience and a positive spirit, age can never hold anyone back.
"Met an incredible soul today in Moga, a 108-year-old street vendor still selling onions and potatoes with a smile. His life is a testament to resilience, hard work, and the power of staying grounded. Truly inspiring to witness," Mani wrote while sharing the video.
