Virat Kohli lauded his RCB teammates Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma after the team’s win over Delhi Capitals. With seven victories from 10 games, the Bengaluru-based team has climbed to the top of the points table. Kohli scored 51 runs off 47 balls, with the help of 4 fours, and added 119 runs with Krunal Pandya. The southpaw remained unbeaten on 73 runs off 47 deliveries, packed with 5 fours and 4 sixes as Royal Challengers Bengaluru completed the target of 163 runs in 18.3 overs and 6 wickets in hand.
Krunal Pandya was named the Player of the Match for his all-round performance, as he took a wicket as well.
“Krunal Pandya was brilliant for us. We knew he would come up with a match-winning performance, and I am glad it came today. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood were magnificent. Josh has been the difference for us, and that’s why he got the Purple Cap. Suyash Sharma has been our dark horse, and we shouldn’t forget about his contributions with the ball,” Virat Kohli said.
With 443 runs from 10 matches, Kohli is the current holder of the Orange Cap. He has hit six half-centuries, 39 fours and 13 sixes. Hazlewood has picked up 18 wickets from 10 contests at an average of 17.27 and an economy of 8.44.
