Sunday with viewers were not happy as the presenter returned to air after taking a break for the Easter holidays. As she spoke to Labour minister Pat McFadden, Liberal Democrats leader Ed Davey and Slow Horses star Jack Lowden, fans rushed to social media to share their frustration.
One said: "After a break from Laura Kuenssberg last week, just caught sight of her. BBC needs a shake-up and removal of her, Fiona Bruce and Chris Mason. London Marsthon looks a better watch today." Another agreed: " don't know whether I can be bothered to tune into #bbclaurak today - she irritates me beyond belief. When Andrew Marr occupied the BBC Sunday political slot -I was very critical of him. Now I feel: Come back Andrew - all is forgiven. Hmm. Maybe not. BBC doesn't do politics well."
A third agreed: "Tuning into #bbclaurak, hoping that it's going to be Victoria Derbyshire presenting."
A fourth swiped: "What a snide @bbclaurak is !! She needs replacing ASAP!" However, one fan thought Laura was asking the important questions as she spoke to McFadden about the UK Supreme Court's ruling on transgender women last week.
They penned: "Important questions from @bbclaurak to Pat McFadden about whether he feels regret about how gendercritics have been treated. Although not named @RosieDuffield1 is included in this. McFadden answers a different question, twice."
Meanwhile, viewers were also left stunned by Jack Lowden's accent, as some only just realised he was from Scotland rather than London like his Slow Horses character River Cartwright.
As Jack discussed being the next Mr Darcy in Pride and Prejudice and playing James Bond, one fan said: "Forgot Jack Lowden was Scottish tbh, his accent work across all the things I've seen him in over the years has been so good."
Another added: "I've just heard Jack Lowden speak in his Scottish accent for the first time and it has fully broken my brain."
Slow Horses will be returning to Apple TV for its fifth season this summer, although a date is yet to be confirmed.
Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg airs Sundays at 9am on BBC1.
