A statement from the ministry said that the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labor and Employment participated in the 15th edition of the employment fair organized at 47 places across the country on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed this program through video conference. In this program, appointment letters were distributed to more than 51,000 newly included youth in various government departments including EPFO.
Recruitments have been done on these posts.
The ministry said that as part of this important recruitment drive, EPFO welcomes new recruitments to strengthen its workforce, ensuring efficient delivery of social security services to millions of subscribers across India. On Saturday, appointment letters were issued to 345 enforcement officers and 631 social security assistants, in which enforcement officers will get a salary of Rs 47,600 every month.
EPFO has set up an appointment section at the headquarters to ensure regular recruitment and has prepared a recruitment calendar following the instructions of Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. Last year, EPFO recruited 159 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners, 84 Junior Translation Officers, 28 Stenographers, and other posts.
Interest from EPFO
The PF scheme run by EPFO is very beneficial especially for employees working in the private sector. In this, a fixed annual interest of 8.25% is offered by the government on the investment.
