Wi-Fi and the Internet can be seen by OT and Live TV, HMD to launch cheap phone with D2M Technology

HMD has announced that it will launch a smartphone equipped with Free Stream Technology Direct-to-Mobile (D2M). With the help of D2M Technology, users can access OTT, Live TV, videos, audio and text messages without Wi-Fi or Internet service.

The official announcement of this phone will be made in the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (Waves) in 2025. The event will be held from May 1 to 4 at the Geo World Center in Mumbai.

HMD will soon launch D2M Technology -equipped phone.

HMD says that this phone on D2M-Technology will be made and designed in India. The company said the design of these upcoming smartphones will be worth the cost, that is, its cost. This phone will be launched by the Tejas Network with the support of Poward Direct to Mobile Technology.

Tejas Network has been testing D2M technology in collaboration with Prasar Bharti and IIT Kanpur for some time. Tejas Networks are upgrade BSNL's 4G and 5G networks.

For the past few years, Testing of D2M networks has been underway in cities like Delhi, Noida and Bangalore. The second phase of testing in this regard is set to begin across the country soon. Still, no official information about this is available.

What is Direct-to-Mobile D2M Technology?

Direct-to-Mobile or D22 Technology combines both broadcasts and broadband. With his help, users can access OTT, Live TV, video-audio and text messages without Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity. This technology will work like FM Radio, which transmits information on a fixed frequency. This technology will reduce the load on the cellular network. For this, a special receiver will be installed in the phone, which will receive a broadcast content signal.
