New Delhi: A powerful reunion has been hinted at by BTS rapper and dancer J-Hope, who recently addressed the band’s future during his appearance on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music 1. While touring North America with a string of crowd-favourite performances such as MORE, Airplane, and Daydream, the South Korean rapper spoke of the group’s long-awaited comeback once all members are released from military service.

It was during the interview that J-Hope reflected on how each member’s solo pursuits had shaped their artistic identities. “I think that over time, we each refined our unique identities as each of us work on their own music, come out with their solo projects and do their own thing,” he remarked. The evolution of the seven members as individuals was acknowledged as a natural result of their time apart, though a powerful return was strongly teased.

BTS members’ military discharge date

J-Hope, who was discharged from military service earlier this year, expressed palpable excitement over the completion of enlistment for fellow members RM, Suga, Jimin, Taehyung (V), and Jungkook this June. “The funny thing for me is when our identities, which have taken shape in various ways, come together as BTS, I’m curious to see how it’ll look like. I look forward to June, when our members will have completed their service. We will quickly get together and talk about what BTS can do in the future. I think it’s going to be a massive energy,” he shared.

Since enlisting in February 2023, J-Hope’s solo work has been widely celebrated. His collaboration with J. Cole on “On the Street” in March 2023 was met with global acclaim, followed by the release of HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1, which peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.

J-Hope’s ongoing world tour

His current tour, which began on 28 February 2025 at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, has seen sold-out performances across Asia and North America. Stops have included Brooklyn, New York, as well as upcoming dates in San Antonio, Chicago, and across Southeast Asia. The tour is scheduled to conclude in June.
