Raid 2 vs HIT 3 advance booking report: Which film is expected to draw bigger crowds?

New Delhi: Ajay devgn and vaani Kapoor’s crime thriller Raid 2 is scheduled to release in theatres on May 1, 2025. Based on an income tax raid conducted by the IT department, the movie is one of the highly anticipated movies of the year. The movie will face tough competition at the ticket window from Nani’s HIT 3Marvel’s Thunderboltsand Sanjay Dutt’s The bhootnii.

According to the reports, Raid 2 has booked the maximum number of screens, while HIT 3 and Bhootnii barely found space on screens. Earlier, during the song launch of ‘Aaye Re Baba’ from the movie, Sanjay Dutt accused distributors and cinema owners of sidelining his upcoming movie, The bhootnii.

According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, Raid 2 starring Ajay Devgn has sold over 1.11 lakh tickets in India, bringing a gross of Rs 2.97 crore for its opening day. Including the blocked seats, the film has collected Rs 4.94 crore so far at the box office. The state of Maharashtra is currently leading with contributions of an estimated Rs 1.23 crore in advance booking, while Delhi follows closely, with collections amounting to Rs 83 lakh.

HIT 3 advance booking report

The advance booking of Nani-starrer HIT: The Third Case opened on April 28. The action thriller, directed by Sailesh Kolanu, is expected to open around Rs 1 to Rs 2 crore. The movie has grossed over Rs 1 crore in advance sales in India and $300 K in North America.

About Raid 2

Raid 2 revolves around an Indian Revenue Officer named Amay Patnaik, who seized over 4200 crores in his career. Now, he is headed for his 75th raid at the residence of Dada Manohar Bhai, a politician, and it turns out to be the most challenging case of his career. The movie stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Rajat Kapoor, and Amit Sial.

About HIT 3

Telugu movie HIT: The Third Case starring Nani is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the movie is the sequel to its first two successful instalments, HIT and HIT 2.
