Car S.O.S is set to feature racing star Lando Norris in an upcoming episode, where the Formula One whizz will deliver a touching message.

Lando, 25, a five-time Grand Prix winner across seven seasons, will make a guest appearance on Car S.O.S on Thursday, 1st May.

The McLaren racing driver will be embarking on a 'special mission' to thrill a motorsport enthusiast.

He's joined forces with hosts Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend to surprise the fan with a heartfelt pre-recorded message, reports .

In a tear-jerking moment, Lando's message is played on a wall of TVs in an electronics shop. He delivers a personal message to the fan, which leads to an even bigger surprise waiting outside the store.

A fully restored VW Polo G40 is parked outside, creating an unforgettable moment on the popular National Geographic programme.

The episode has been billed as 'heartwarming' and promises a 'dream come true' for a motorsport aficionado.

Lando is among a host of celebrity guests gracing the thirteenth season of Car S.O.S, which launched in March with Tim and Fuzz back at the helm.

Each instalment sees Tim and Fuzz breathe new life into vehicles that hold deep sentimental value for owners who, due to illness or hardship, are unable to complete the restoration themselves.

Alongside celebrity appearances and emotional moments, viewers can also anticipate some jaw-dropping car transformations.

Throughout the thirteenth series, Tim and Fuzz tackle a variety of vehicles including the Land Rover Discovery Series 1, Suzuki Jimny, a classic VW Beach Buggy and, in a show first, a Ferrari.
