Agartala: According to a statement, the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police (PS-Airport) carried out a combined operation in the general vicinity of Village Narsingarh under PS Airport, District West Tripura, based on particular information.
During the operation, an ECO Maruti vehicle successfully captured one Indian citizen. A search revealed 805 bottles of Eskuf cough syrup inside the car.
In another operation, BSF forces from BOP Kaiyadhepa arrested an Indian tout from the Kaiyadhepa market area based on specific information. In addition to illegally infiltrating Bangladeshi and Rohingya individuals into India and providing them with housing and logistical assistance, the arrested tout is actively engaged in human trafficking.
One Indian person was also detained by BSF forces at Border Outpost Putia as he attempted to negotiate the border security barrier and cross the border from Bangladesh to India. They found currency from the UAE and BD in his hands.
Additionally, investigators discovered a substantial amount of drugs and other illicit goods valued at around Rs 13 lakhs. In the state of Tripura, the BSF has stepped up its efforts to stop transnational crimes and eliminate the tout module that aids infiltration along the border.
