A great opportunity has come for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. The Bihar government has announced recruitment to the posts of Forest Range Officer i.e. Area Officer of Forests.

It is being done by the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC). If you are fond of nature, trees, plants and wildlife and dream of working in uniform, then this opportunity is perfect for you.

The application process will start from today and interested candidates can apply online till June 1, 2025. Application can be done only by visiting the official website of the commission bpssc.bihar.gov.in.

Talking about educational qualification, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in subjects like agriculture, forestry, engineering, animal husbandry and veterinary pathology, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics or zoology from a recognized university.

According to the age limit, the minimum age for male candidates has been fixed at 21 years and maximum at 37 years. At the same time, this limit is 21 to 40 years for female candidates. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1 January 2025. Minimum height for men is 163 cm and for women 150 cm is required.

The selection process in this recruitment will be completed in three stages. First there will be a written test, followed by an interview and then a physical test.

In the physical test, men will have to walk 25 km and women 14 km, the time limit for which is 4 hours. Candidates who will not be able to cover this distance in the stipulated time will be considered unsuccessful.
