Rules changed for waiting ticket passengers
Indian Railways used to board sleeper and AC coaches for passengers traveling with waiting tickets. But now the railways have changed the rules for this. Now any passenger with a waiting ticket will be able to travel in the reserved coach. That is, if someone has made a reservation.
And the ticket has gone into waiting. Then you can neither travel in sleeper. Nor can you travel in any AC coach. If you travel in sleeper and AC coach. Then you will have to pay a hefty fine. Not only this, the TTE can catch you and throw you out of sleeper and AC coach.
This much fine will have to be paid
If you travel on a waiting ticket. And you enter the reserved coach. Then for this you have to pay a fine according to the coach. If you travel in AC coach on a waiting ticket. Then you have to pay a fine of Rs 440 and the fare till the next station. And if you are caught in sleeper coach. So you will have to pay a fine of Rs 250 along with the fare to the next station.
