However do you know that when SRKs film Chennai Express came with Deepika Padukone the pair instantly became everyones favourite? Now in exciting news for all the SRK and Deepika fans the duo will soon be joining hands for another film as per media reports. Yes you read that right! According to a report by Pinkvilla Deepika has been locked for SRKs upcoming film King. The reports also claim that Deepika Padukone and King Khans schedules are yet to be matched. If the schedules match then both can start shooting for the film soon. There is also news that the shooting can start from May 18 2025. A close source to Pinkvilla was cited by the portal as saying “Shah Rukh Khan was always clear to have Deepika Padukone on board King. Initially the dates were not matching as Deepika was taking time off to be with the newborn kid and also hitting the gym to get back in shape. Due to a delay in the schedules of King the timelines aligned and she is back on board the film.” Sid and his team of writers have crafted a perfect role for Deepika that also stands true to the hype of her pairing with SRK” the source adds. The source further revealed that due to the date clash SRK had given other names as an option. These names include Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Initially the film was supposed to be helmed by Sujoy Ghosh. However with changes happening it is Siddharth Anand who will be directing the film. Apart from SRK the movie will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. Meanwhile an official confirmation on the same is awaited.
