Sam Curran has ravaged Suryansh Shedge's third over, hitting boundaries, and ran towards his maiden IPL half-century. Not only that, for this season of the tournament, it is the highest score for any batter in Chennai Super Kings. But despite the crucial half-century, what caught the eye was his celebration. Chahal Hat-trick Rocks CSK
Chennai Super Kings posted 190 in 19.2 overs, thanks largely to Sam Curran’s brilliant 88 off 47 balls. Coming in early, Curran steadied the innings after quick dismissals of Shaik Rasheed and Ayush Mhatre. He played some audacious strokes, hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes to anchor CSK’s innings. Dewald Brevis contributed a handy 32, while Jadeja chipped in with 17.
However, CSK's innings unraveled dramatically in the 18th over, bowled by Yuzvendra Chahal. After dismissing MS Dhoni, Chahal went on to take a hat-trick, removing Deepak Hooda, Anshul Kamboj, and Noor Ahmad in consecutive deliveries. His 4/32 turned the tide, reducing CSK from a strong position at 184/5 to 186/9 in the blink of an eye.
Arshdeep Singh and also bowled economically, picking up two wickets each. Despite a solid platform laid by Curran, CSK’s lower order collapse left them short of a bigger total.
