This Morning basked in the glory of the British sunshine with a special outdoors episode, complete with its very own ice cream van for a refreshing treat.

The programme took a delightfully sunny turn as hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard donned bright summer attire to welcome the warmest day of the year so far.

Cat, 48, was a sight to behold in a red mini dress with fetching asymmetrical flower patterns and embroidery, paired elegantly with gold sandals.

But just short moments before the live broadcast, Cat faced a dress hiccup which she disclosed during co-host Ben's Instagram clip. While giving followers a sneak peek at what 'This Morning' had in store, Ben couldn't resist indulging in an ice cream treat, exclaiming: "I've gone early with my ice cream!"

The camera then shifted to Cat who quipped: "My dress has gone early!" as viewers caught a glimpse of a crew member hurriedly sewing the garment back together.

Show chef Clodagh McKenna later lavished compliments on Cat's choice of outfit, saying: "Can we take one moment for your dress, how gorgeous do you look today! I mean, it's like Carrie Bradshaw's Sex and the City is here in London!"

At the same time, Ben seized the chance to playfully point out his height over Cat when she skips her signature high heels, jesting: "Now people can actually see that I am taller than you! But usually if she's not in 10-inch heels, she's not happy!"

Yet, Cat experienced another mishap later in the programme when she accidentally drenched her dress with Clodagh's pistachio affogato, reports Wales Online.

Ben remarked to Clodagh: "Sorry, we are listening, we're not ignoring you... we might need some help with Cat's dress which is now covered in pistachio coffee!"

The Wednesday show also included a chat with Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing sensation Tasha Ghouri, who discussed her latest book Your Superpower.

This incident follows confusion among This Morning viewers over Cat's attire during Wednesday's episode. As Ben and Cat chatted about the current sweltering UK weather, predicting it would be hotter than Ibiza this weekend, fans were puzzled by Cat's choice of footwear.

Despite the heat, she opted for tan knee-high boots adorned with what seemed like ropes.
