In summer, cooler is the easiest and cheapest means of relief. But often people ask these questions – “Why does the old cooler no longer give cold air?” The answer is hidden in his correct care and timely servicing. If you adopt some easy measures, then your old cooler will also start giving coolness like AC.

1. Check water supply
Pipes that deliver water from the cooler pump to the cooling pads can freeze soil and garbage over time. This stops the flow of water and weakens the cooling. In such a situation, the old pipe should be replaced.

2. Clean the pump regularly
The cooler pump plays an important role in cooling. If the soil or dirt gets stuck in it, it does not work properly. At the beginning of every season, remove the pump and wash it thoroughly.

3. Apply oil in the fan
Due to dust and rust, the fan starts slowing down or makes a loud sound. For this, clean the fan and add a little lubricant or machine oil to it. This will make the fan smooth and cool the cold air will be good.

4. Change cooling pads on time
If the cooling pad is torn or has become too old, then replace it immediately. It is better to change the pad 2–3 times in a season in the summer season. The new pad absorbs water well and gives cold air.
