Veteran actress Mumtaz has been the top actress of her time. Not only fans but even big heroes were crazy about her beauty. Her onscreen chemistry with Rajesh Khanna has been a hit. Recently Mumtaz said that she will never play the role of Shah Rukh Khans mother. She says that she has a rule that she will play the role of mother only to those actors who are at least 20 years younger than her. Shah Rukh will turn 60 this year while Mumtaz is 77 years old. During an interview with Vicky Lalwani Mumtaz was asked if Jaya Bachchan can play Shah Rukh Khans mother then why not her? To this she said That is Jayas decision but I will only play the role of a mother of an actor who is 20 years younger than me. And that too only if I look good on screen. I got married at a young age and even today my children do not look much younger than me. If I look good then I can think of playing the role of a mother. Referring to Jane Fonda in the film Mother-in-Law Mumtaz said I will do such a film in which my sons character will be played by a young hero. The mothers character in it was stylish. She is a millionaire. She used to degrade the simple girl whom her son loves. She says that I do not want to accept a poor girl. She was given the freedom to look and wear whatever she wanted. I will also work in such a film. If Shahrukh wants me to look the way I actually look then tell him that I will work. But he will refuse. Why should I keep my hair white? Shah Rukh Khan had told Mumtaz that he had his crush on Anupam Khers show. To this the veteran actress said Maybe he said it jokingly. Will you (Shahrukh Khan) work with me if I look the way I actually look? Will you? He will say no just wait and watch. He is a very intelligent guy very smart and a lovely person. He knows (what looks good on screen). Just because he likes me it doesnt mean he will do anything.
